Thank you for sharing your story. The resent news of the young man who took his life is so heart breaking. Thank God for you and thank God your for your dad who showed that love being offered within the church. Your brave story really touched me.

I was so encouraged reading the beginning of your story on this blog. I'm also a PK/MK who struggles with SSA, and so much of what you said resonated deep within my soul. Your commitment to Christ in the face of such confusion and difficulty is truly inspirational. You have already taken a HUGE step in sharing your struggle with your family, and I am so thankful that you also have the courage to share your story with the world in such a thoughtful, articulate way. I hope you know that you are impacting countless others with your story.

I share a very similar story to your own. While I was not a pastors kid, I was active in my church growing up and understand the "fear" associated with being found out. You have a very powerful voice and I am excited to see your courage!

What amazing courage you have in stepping out into the light of God's truth despite your fears. You will continue to grow in confidence as you trust God to provide for your needs and see Him come through. And I have no doubt that some "friends" might fall away, but as they do your true friendships will deepen in amazing ways as you become more and more known.

May your story be a great source of hope to others. I believe it will be, or is already.
