God is awesome and
you are generous…
For the first time – our funding has met the
ministry’s budget every month in 2012!
When the economy tanked in 2008, the impact was initially low. However, by 2009, it hit us very hard. We soon realized we were facing a long-term recovery. Our personal savings, that served as a cushion during the ministry start-up years, was gone. At times, I did not know how we could continue. Yet not once did I ever question the calling or look back.
Last December, a poignant moment of spiritual surrender allowed me to let go of funding fears and other attempts to control or fix my life. Stress and fear had exhausted me. Now Christ was calling me: “Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest for your soul.”
I came. He gave…
Since that night, I no longer felt any funding fears. Separately, our family sold our home and bought a condo. We can now bear more financial uncertainty, have more time for the kids and generally live a simpler life.
Throughout 2012, the ministry suddenly expanded. I did not make this happen – God did! Our consulting to churches and other ministries rapidly grew. Counseling rose dramatically. People who were freely served in prior years began to donate. Long-term generous donors gave even more. Church partners remained faithful even as their financial security shifted. The end result has been a healthy and consistent provision.
I wanted to share this “testimony” of God’s faithfulness and thank each one of you for your faithful prayers and generous gifts. While a solid share of our funding now originates from direct ministry services we provide to organizations, families and individuals, we continue to need your help. We so appreciate your partnership with us! God bless you.
