This morning, I shared my faith story at two morning services and taught When Teens Come Out
during the Adult Bible Fellowship at Grace Community in Spofford, NH.
The Adult Bible message sensitizes whole congregations to the challenges
many LGBT+ teens face growing up.
This afternoon, I conducted a brief version of Posture Shift for church staff, elders and lay leaders.
This evening, I hosted a Q&A session for student leaders and presented The Church That Saves Lives to equip teens to intervene, report and prevent anti-gay bullying and support gay friends who deal with suicidal thoughts, depression or social isolation.
Grace Community is living out the Gospel in beautiful ways. The leaders wanted their entire congregation exposed to different Lead Them Home teachings to maximize the organic care they can offer LGBT+ and SSA youth and young adults. When I think about the dramatic enhancements that are needed throughout the wider evangelical community in this complex area, I am deeply encouraged by churches like Grace Community. Your heart for LGBT+ folks is beautiful!
