Lead Them Home was invited to speak at State of the City Symposium at First Presbyterian Church of Houston. The vision for the Symposium was to provide church members, ministry partners and the surrounding community an opportunity to hear about challenges facing the city of Houston and how the body of Christ can unite to respond.
Founder & President Bill Henson spoke about LGBT+ youth homelessness sharing key statistics developed by the University of Houston and other studies. Lead Them Home provided 40 Ideas for assisting LGBT+ teens and young adults impacted by homelessness, survival sex (trading one’s body for shelter, food, or clothing), and family rejection.
