We are finishing the second edition of Guiding Families which includes a lot more content, details, and stories like Noelle’s. Noelle experienced what it means to be Wrapped in Love when she encountered Christ, which she shared with us:
In 2010, I faced some of the most confusing and painful years of my life. I was 19 and had been struggling with my sexuality since I was 13. I was out on my own for the first time at college, and my relationship with my family was gone because I had come out as lesbian.
The depression I had been battling for years came down upon me even harder as I felt everything I had known was being ripped out from under me. I was far from stable and kept pushing God away because I was tired of rejection. I couldn’t imagine Him offering me any kind of acceptance.
That year, I exchanged multiple personal emails with Lead Them Home. The ministry’s support calls gave me a shred of stability and pointed me back to the Cross. Founder Bill Henson truly cared for me and understood how I was suffering. Even still, I still had a long road toward a close relationship with Jesus.
After many years of back-and-forth wrestling with God’s will for my life, I finally completely surrendered my life to Jesus, falling wholly dependent on His grace to rebuild my life and faith identity. God has blessed me in ways I can’t describe. He continues to build me a life I could never have imagined before.
