Last month, a lot of amazing discussion and passion came out of our Posture Shift Train 50 event in Boston including an amazing encounter on the subway between attending pastors and a transgender girl.
Another amazing outcome of the event was the sermon which Pastor Jonathan Smith preached at his church the week following the Train 50 event. His sermon exemplifies Posture Shift very well and with Pastor Jonathan’s permission, we want to share it with you all. Check it out here.
After his sermon, the mother of an LGBT son shared with him that she was deeply touched what he said and that it helped heal her heart as a mother.
The Posture Shift Train 50 event in July received multiple positive feedback reports. One attendee shared:
Posture Shift confirmed so many of the ways we are trying to love on our LGBT+ brothers and sisters, but also confirmed that we still have a long, long way to go! Your love, care and humility for the most marginalized people is truly inspirational. The seminar gave me updated language and insights and one of the most important things I walked away with was not trying to develop policies for our church, but a humble posture of radical love for the LGBT+ friends who are not yet at our church!
Another attendee also shared: “As God would have it, my first phone call on Sunday was from a bi-sexual woman who is struggling.”
There is still one more Posture Shift Train 50 event coming up on the 15th-17th of this month. Register today here.
